- Well, I've been here in da UP for 4 years now. Love it more with each passing day. I love the snow but especially love the magical qualities of spring, when everything renews itself and the leaves and blossoms unfold. So many birds and animals. Miss beautiful Kauai and my family there, but this my "home" now.

Love the birds. I keep 4 finch feeders that also feed the local Cooper Hawk! Dual duty.

I hope to come to the UP area this summer, I hear such wonderful things about the area and Mackinac Island.
